It is easy to manage service charges. Contact Support to enable this on your account.

How Does It Work

Firstly, you should create your Service Charge products, which are the service charge rates you apply to your bookings. To do this, click on the "%" button on the service list, give your service charge a rate and a name, lets say "Service Charge 12.5%". So service charge products operate off a percentage rather than a price. You can create several different service charge rates.

Turn The Service Charge On/Off In Each Product/Service

In settings, you can set every product to have a service charge Yes or No. So for example, rental fees etc. service charge would be No, whereas food/catering products charge service would be Yes. You can change this setting in any individual booking.

You will be able to get an overall view of service charge On/Off in list view.

Adding Service Charge In A Booking

On the booking, you add your products/services as normal. And if you want to apply a service charge to the booking, you should add the appropriate service charge product with the percentage you want and the system will automatically apply the service charge based on the products on the bookings that have service charge set to YES.

The service charge product will be displayed after the Subtotal. If the service charge product is taxable it will appear before the Tax subtotal. If the service charge product is not taxable, it will appear after the Tax subtotal.

What If I Change Things On The Booking?

The service charge will automatically change with all edits you make to the booking, adding/deleting products or updating product quantity or pricing.
