Brite FloorPlans allows you to design simple floor outlines, using our line and elements features to add in other elements like doors.

If you want to design a more complex room outline, with curved areas, dimensions included on the drawings etc, you should upload your Outline using our Upload feature. We recommend that you use an outline designed by your Architect/Engineer/Graphic Designer.

If you do not already have an Architect/Engineer/Graphic Designer outline, and you are looking for third-party software tools, you could use either of these two options.

With SketchPlan, you do not need to have any understanding of design software, you just upload a picture your rough sketch/drawing and you will get a floorplan design returned to you.

If you think you will need multiple drawings, perhaps of multiple rooms, where layouts may change over time, you might consider using SmartDraw which is a really simple and powerful design tool.

Both SketchPlan and SmartDraw output a .jpg file that you can upload into Brite FloorPlans.

Both of these services are very competitively priced.
