Creating a List View of all Future Bookings (Video)

Seeing all future bookings in one list view is important for all businesses and it is super easy to set this up in list views.

You can create as many different list views as you want for Inquiries and Bookings. Having a view of all Future Bookings is super useful and is the view that most users use most frequently.

HOW DOES THE VIEW UPDATE AFTER BOOKINGS TAKE PLACE?

When a booking has taken place, it falls off the view as it is in the past, so you only see all active future bookings.

WHAT IS BEST PRACTICE WHEN A BOOKING DATE HAS PASSED? SHOULD I SET UP A SEPERATE STAGE FOR THIS?

We advise that you leave all old bookings at the stage "Booked" (or whatever other stage name you have for a confirmed booking), even after they have past. We don't advise that you create another stage called eg "Booked OLD" etc and periodically move Old Confirmed Bookings in here. For most businesses, there is no advantage to doing this, and it will make reporting more difficult.

For example, if you wanted to create a revenue report for all bookings "this year", you would now have to include two Stages, Booked and Booked Old. Again, we advise that everything is kept at stage "Booked".

Using your list views effectively will ensure you are only seeing relevant future booking information, and you can create whatever reports you need from there.
