There is an easy way to keep on top of when you have last worked on an inquiry or booking in BriteBiz, by using the "Updated Date" field.
Where Is The "Updated Date" Field Stored?
All list views have an Updated Date column. You can click on this column title to order it.
Inquiry - When Is "Updated Date" Updated.
The Update date is 'updated' when an inquiry record is updated or created. This only extends to the inquiry record itself and not related records such as related contact information.
So, if you have an inquiry opened in a dialog and you click Edit/Save, the updated date timestamp is updated, even if you did not add any information.
Bookings - When Is "Updated Date" Updated.
On a booking, if you click on the edit page button, or do an inline edit (using the pencil icon) and click Save (even if you don't make any changes) the timestamp is updated.
Flag and Client notice on a booking - if these are changed on a booking, the booking's updated date is updated as this information is part of the booking data.
Activating a portal won't update the Booking Updated date but the Contacts Updated date may get updated if a new Login is created for them.
Related Records such as: Payments, Worksheets, Activities, Notes, Links, Attachments, Emails, etc. Adding or editing any of these won't change the Updated Date on the related record (booking/contact) as these records have their own updated date (which is not visible in a lot of cases).
Contacts - When Is "Updated Date" Updated.
If you make a change to a contact, only the contact's Updated Date is changed, not its related inquiries or bookings. Likewise, if you make a change to a booking, its update date is changed not the related contacts, etc.
