The message dashboard and notification system is a great way for all the team to centrally see what messages are received through the client portal and via SMS.
To activate the message dashboard, click "Edit" on the top right of your home dashboard page and add the messages dashboard. You can drag and drop it into your preferred position.
The image below shows how client portal messages and SMS Messages are shown in the dashboard.
There is also a dropdown on the dashboard widget to access recently actioned messages.
Marking A Message As Actioned
Click on the message to go to the related booking or contact. Whoever on your team deals with the message should then click on the "Mark as Actioned!" button to close out the message notification.
Contact & Booking Notifications
If there is an active SMS or Client Portal Message, it will also show up in a banner view in the Contact or Booking, similar to the image below.
Similar to the home dashboard, you can click the message and "Mark as Actioned!" once you have dealt with the message.
Storage of Messages
After they have been actioned, messages can still be found in the messages section on contact/booking, so you will never lose any information relating to the SMS or Client Portal Message after you have marked it as actioned.
Message Permissions
You need to ensure that messages are enabled in permissions. You can control who can view messages in Settings here; you can give privileges over personal messages and team messages.
