While we do not offer full integration with WhatsApp, we do offer a simple a powerful way to enhance your WhatsApp outreach.

In this article, we will showcase:

  1. How to turn on the WhatsApp integration in your BriteBiz account.

  2. How to send a WhatsApp message from BriteBiz.

Turn on the WhatsApp Integration

To turn on the WhatsApp integration, go to Settings > Account Settings > Modules. At the bottom, you will see the following:

"Display WhatsApp Link when Contact has a Cell number"

Set this to Yes.

Sending WhatsApp Message

1. Sign into WhatApp desktop on your PC.

When you initiate a WhatsApp message in BriteBiz, you will be using WhatsApp desktop to write and send the message. First, you need to open WhatsApp Desktop on your PC.

2. Click on the WhatsApp Icon

When you turn WhatApp on in settings, in the Contact and Booking view, you will see the WhatsApp icon beside any contact that has a Cell Number in the system.

Just click on the WhatsApp button. BriteBiz will open your WhatsApp Desktop and pull the contact phone number in, ready to send a message.

3. Allow API Access

When you do this for the first time, you will be asked to allow API access so that BriteBiz can speak to you WhatsApp Desktop.

You should click "Always allow API" and then open WhatsApp.

4. No Matching Number

If the client is not a WhatsApp user, you will get an error message when you open WhatsApp telling you the number is not on WhatsApp.

Once you have WhatsApp Desktop open, you can compose and send the email.

WhatsAPP Message Storage in BriteBiz

Unlike emails and SMS, where all messages to and from a client are stored in BriteBiz, the WhatsApp messages you send or receive from a client will not be saved in the messages section of BriteBiz.

💡 If you send or receive important information from a client in a WhatsApp message, we recommend adding it to the Notes section, Flag section, or re-confirming the information via email so it is captured in messages.

Full WhatsApp Integration

Our team considered full integration, but it is not feasible at this time for several reasons.

  1. Significant technical complexity exists in managing a full integration and full integration has not been the popular choice in the software market.

  2. Full integration is only possible with WhatsApp Business accounts, and most of our requests from BriteBiz users come from standard WhatsApp accounts. Switching to a business account requires a dual SIM phone to manage separate numbers for personal and business use.

  3. With complete WhatsApp integration, there is a Cost Per Message, so the service is not free. The solution we are providing does not involve any additional costs.

  4. When sending messages from a business account, clients receive security alerts, which are not ideal for smooth communication.

We hope you enjoy our WhatsApp integration to further streamline your processes.
