BriteVenue provides a quick and easy way to collect an electronic signature from your clients with our eContracts. Clients can sign a document on mobile, PC or tablet by drawing a signature, uploading a signature or typing a signature in script.

Electronic signatures are legally binding in the vast majority of countries and regions around the world. An electronic signature can carry the same weight and legal effect as a traditional paper document with a pen and ink signature.

Please note the following when using BriteVenue Signatures.

  1. Depending on the laws in your area, you may be required to include certain language in your contract stating that the signing parties agree to the use of electronic signatures.

  2. BriteVenue's e-signatures are dated and once a contract has been signed, it will lock so that no further changes can be made to the document.

  3. The BriteVenue signing process includes a "Agree & Sign" button and also wording the that client understands that the signature is legal.

It is solely your responsibility to take legal advice in your jurisdiction to add any other clauses required to bind the client to the terms of the contract.

  4. BriteVenue supplies you with a watermarked contract and certificate of signature for all contracts signed. The contract will also note the IP Address of the signer.

Overall - we recommend that you consult a legal professional in your area if you have any questions regarding contract language or compliance with local laws regarding e-signatures. It is your responsibility to know if eSignatures are legally binding in your region and it is your responsibility to include the required legal language for your region to ensure the contract is binding.

If eSignatures are not binding in your region, we do not recommend that you use BriteVenue eSignatures.
