To integrate your Payment Gateway (Stripe, Authorize.net) with BriteVenue, simply go to the Payments section in your Account Settings.

Note: BritePay is only included in some subscription plans, please contact us if you would like this feature enabled on your account.

Click on the type of Payment Gateway you'd like to connect:

On the next page, please follow the instructions to connect your account. Prior to connecting your Payment Gateway, you should check that you are logged into the correct account.

Once connected, you should see a screen like this:

Now that you have connected your Payment Gateway, you can accept Credit Card payments in BriteVenue.

In the Contact Portal, your customer can make a payment on the Payment Schedules that you have added to their booking. Beside the next payment that is due, they will see a 'Pay Now' button:

Once they click Pay Now, the details of their payment are confirmed on the screen and they can enter their card details:

Once the payment is processed, the customer portal will update to show the customer that you have received the payment. As the credit card payment is processed by your Payment Gateway, you will see the charge in your Payment Gateway dashboard straight away.

Also, on the booking, when you click the + payment / + deposit you will now get an extra option to 'Pay now with BritePay':

Simply enter the payment and the customer's credit card details. Once the charge is successfully processed, the payment will be recorded on the booking. Use this option when the customer wants to make a payment via Credit Card over the phone.

** NOTE - We do not charge any processing fees on transactions. However, if either you or your client processes transactions, your processing provider (Stripe/Authorize.net etc) will deduct a processing fee.

SURCHARGES

This is the process where you can apply the credit card fees directly to your client. Surcharging is not legal in many parts of the US or Europe, and in the US in particular, certain States have strict laws that prevent surcharging for credit card processing.

If your business is in a region that does allow surcharging, and you would like this feature enabled on your account, please send a message to our support team and ask for surcharging to be enabled on your account. Disclaimer - In your message you must confirm that surcharging is legal in your locality etc.
