Welcome to BritePay, the powerful integrated payments management platform for BriteBiz.

We make onboarding with BritePay fast and simple. Follow these step-by-step instructions to complete onboarding and start getting paid.

Step 1: Connect to BritePay

Getting connected is the first step. To connect to BritePay:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations

  2. Click BritePay to get started.

To proceed, accept the BritePay Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

Once you have accepted the terms, you’ll be redirected to a new tab to complete the onboarding process.

Step 2: Follow the onboarding prompts

The new tabs that appear are the onboarding prompts, leading you to create a BritePay account. We highly recommend completing onboarding in one sitting.

The sequence is straightforward but will take 5 - 10 minutes and will require documentation. The main sections are as follows.

  1. Enter personal and business information.

  2. Link your bank account.

  3. Review all details.

1. Enter personal and business information

Follow the prompts and enter personal and business information like company name, type of business, company number, address, phone number and more.

Once you have added all your details you will be asked to prove beneficial ownership. You can add a number of different documents to prove this. The options will differ depending on your region.

Some tips!

💡 Tip! Under Your website, type in your website or a social media profile. Please note that for security verification, BritePay requires that you add a website or social media profile — if your business is new, we recommend creating a professional social media profile.

💡 Tip! Under Product description, you’ll want to write a description of your business services, include details like product/service description and average transaction value, and any refund or cancellation policies.

💡 Tip! Make sure your product description clearly describes what your business does.

Company Shareholders

As well as adding company details, you will also be asked to add and verify details of all shareholders with more than 20% shareholding in the company.

Complete all sections. If you have not completed a section fully, you will see an Incomplete notice on the top right of that section. Just click Edit to add or edit the relevant information.

Step 3: Link a bank account to BritePay

The next section involves adding a bank account where you’d like your funds deposited.

If your business location is in the United States, you can either:

  • Select your bank from the provided list and follow the prompts to log in to your bank account.

  • Click Enter bank details manually instead. You’ll need your routing and account number.

For all other regions, you will add your bank details manually.

Depending on your region, you should choose a Statement descriptor is how you want all charges to appear on your client’s card statement. Statement descriptors are not available to UK customers who must apply for a SUN account.

💡 Tip! You can edit account settings later, so you do not need to make all your final decisions at this point.

Step 4: Setup Your BriteBiz Settings

After submission, you’re automatically redirected to the Settings > BritePay to set up your payment settings. The great news is that we have put considerable development work into giving you lots of options for how you can configure your account.
