Link Payments with BritePay
Link is a payment technology developed by Stripe. When you're connected to BritePay, your clients can use Link to make payments in just one click!
How Link Works
Stripe designed Link to provide a faster and more convenient checkout experience for your clients.
When a client makes a payment on a Link-enabled website, they have the option to save their email, payment details, and shipping address to a Link account.
The next time they pay a business using Link, their saved information is automatically populated, allowing them to complete the transaction in just one click.
Hundreds of thousands of businesses worldwide use Link, so your clients may have already saved their payment details while making past purchases.
Every BritePay user connected to Stripe will have Link enabled, helping you get paid faster and more seamlessly!
Creating a New Link Account
If a client does not have a Link account associated with their email, they will enter their payment details as usual.
During checkout, they can choose to opt into Link by checking the box next to:
✔️ “Save your info for secure 1-click checkout with Link”
If they select this option, they will be prompted to enter their phone number and create a Link account when submitting their payment.
This allows them to speed up future checkouts with businesses that accept Link payments.
How Clients Make a Payment with Link
When a client clicks the "Pay Now" button, the system automatically checks if their email is linked to a Link account.
If the client has a Link account, they will receive a 6-digit verification code via SMS or email to confirm their identity.
After entering the verification code, they can view their saved payment methods and select one to complete the transaction.
This streamlined process ensures fast and secure payments with minimal effort from the client.
After confirming the payment method, clicking “Pay Now” will complete the payment.
